My Approach

My counseling approach is student-centered, holistic, and grounded in the belief that every student brings unique strengths, experiences, goals, and aspirations. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I work to understand each student as an individual and help them identify educational pathways that feel meaningful and aligned with their goals.

 

Having experienced international education myself and having lived and worked across several countries, I understand that navigating an unfamiliar education system can be both exciting and overwhelming, therefore I aim to make the university search and application process approachable, transparent, and empowering.

 

I am also committed to culturally responsive and inclusive counseling. Working with students and families from diverse backgrounds has taught me the importance of listening without assumptions and recognizing that success can look different for everyone. My background in anthropology and diversity and inclusion further shapes my curiosity about each student's culture, values, experiences, and aspirations.

 

Ultimately, I see counseling as a collaborative process of exploration. My goal is to help students and their families build confidence, self-awareness, and agency so they can make thoughtful, informed decisions about the future.
